Description

"Under the bed where the dust bunnies form and forgotten toys go; beware for under the bed is where the monsters call home..."

Under the Bed is a CGI short animation based on an original script written by Madeline Harrop and developed by Canberra VFX students. A child discovers monsters under their bed and after unsuccessfully calling for help and realising that parents are useless, the child decides to take matters into their own hands. Milk, cookies and a bat may be required... It’s a tale about being brave and how it is okay to make mistakes and break things, as long as we work to fix and repair any damage caused by our wrong impressions.

The idea for Under the Bed came from wanting to create a help guide for children on how to deal with the monsters in their room which didn’t involve parents getting out of their own beds. A little optimistic, but we can all dream.
